1. Is this treatment a chemical relaxer?
No. Global Keratin is a Keratin based treatment that relaxes, softens & straightens the hair naturally using keratin (protein).

2. Can this treatment be done on any type of hair?
Yes, this treatment can be done on any coloured, highlighted, relaxed, bleached or       virgin hair).

3. Can you do the treatment over the Japanese straightening?
Yes, the treatment can be applied over any kind of straightening.

4. When is it best to colour my hair?
For optimal results, colour should be done before applying Global Keratin.  Otherwise, wait 2 weeks after the treatment has been applied.

5. Why do I have to wait to shampoo my hair?
We recommend that you wait because it takes 48 hours for the Keratin to seal the hair  cuticle. If hair is shampooed right after the treatment, the Keratin will wash out.

6. How long does the treatment last?
The treatment last about 3-5 months depending on the hair type and how you maintain your hair. 

7. Can I go into the ocean or the pool after the treatment?
Do not go into the ocean or pool in the first 2 days. After that, you may swim. However, apply a leave-in conditioner to your hair before you get in the water and rinse well         afterwards before shampooing.

8. Can I cut my hair before the treatment
We recommend that you cut it after the treatment has been done.

9. Is this treatment good for African American hair type?
Yes, this treatment is great for African American hair.

10. Do I get a re-growth?
No. There are no touch ups with Global Keratin Treatment. You will get the treatment done again from roots to ends.

11. What is the difference between relaxers, Japanese straightening and Global Keratin Hair Treatment?
Global Keratin Hair Treatment is a Keratin based treatment that straightens the hair   naturally without strong chemicals. It is a reconditioning treatment that transforms the hair and restores shine. Relaxers and Japanese straightening work on breaking and re-arranging the internal bonds of the hair. Once these processes are done, the hair is permanently straightened. The new growth of the Japanese straightening will always be curly, but the previously straightened hair will never revert or blend back.

12. Do I need to use any particular shampoo and conditioner?

Yes you do if you want to get the most time from the treatment. The shampoo needs to be sodium sulphate and sodium chloride free. These two ingredients are present in most shampoos. If you use shampoos with these ingredients it will dramatically reduce the longevity of the result as they leach the protein out of the hair.
