The Reasons to Consider a Perm

People get perms for a variety of reasons. To add life to limp hair, to add curls to straight hair or simply make the hair easier to manage and style.

Perming can be used for styling hair in the following ways:

• To add curl or wave. If your hair is very fine, getting a perm might add just enough oomph to make your hair appear thicker.
• To have a reverse effect on naturally curly hair. If your hair is naturally very curly, using very big rollers when you get a perm can actually relax the curls and leave you with softer, straighter and more manageable curls.

These days we can fine tune a perm to give you exactly the kind of wave you want. You can get perms that just add body to fine, limp hair; you can get loose, sexy waves or you can go for the corkscrew curls that many straight-haired girls like.

There are different methods used to create various types of perms. The neutral perm is used for hair that is sensitive and this process minimizes the risk for hair damage. Firm looking curls are possible with the process of alkaline perms. At Hair Traders we use Goldwell products because of their superior quality and the results that they give.

Tim is Hair Traders specialist permer with over 35 years hairdressing experience; having started his career in 1976.
When he first started his training it would not be unusual for the salon he was working in to do up to 15 perms in a day.

Tim is available on Mondays & Tuesdays to perm your hair and will guarantee you one on one service. Appointments are essential so we can guarantee you the appointment time you want.
Depending on the style of perm you considering the latest appointment time we could accomodate would be 2.30pm
